Yesterday, evening I was wakened by a call from another room saying that a tornado struck 5 miles away in Buhl, and that I should flee to the basement as quickly as possible.. I went downstairs hurriedly grabbing water as my mother took our family pets to safety... The town’s sirens were blaring. My mother immediately called a CS practitioner and asked him to pray for our safety.

We felt the calmness of his prayers throughout the disturbing weather and I was able to maintain a peaceful demeanor as I reached out to God. Thank God that we are alive and fortunate to talk about our dangerous experience. I have lived through some severe winters, I have never undergone such a frightening event as a tornado situation in Northern USA before. I have been through a tornado once before in Fairbault in Rice County, but nothing so scary.. At least there we were in a cement-brick building with a sound foundation. Here it was truly hair-raising living in a turn of the century house. I am grateful to Christian Science for saving my pets and family and our family business as well. -EJG
